At its current state, the MCT has two validated versions either in English or in Italian.
Fee may apply depending on the type of use (see below)
EDUCATIONAL / RESEARCH / CLINICAL USE
MCT may be used, reproduced and distributed with NO licensing fee for Universities, Public Heath professionals, Charity, Public Hospitals, Public Clinics & Public Health Institutes.
Licensing fees and prior written permission may be required for industry-sponsored research/funded by commercial entities or pharma; private Clinics/Hospitals.

Terms to use the MCT
- MCT is copyrighted. Modifying and developing material related to the MCT (including any electronic versions/app) is prohibited.
- Any use of the MCT must be accompanied by an acknowledgement of the source of the MCT.
- All MCT case report forms must carry the copyright notification (© The Music Cognitive Test, A. Mangiacotti, 2022 – all rights reserved; permission for commercial use required; Mctest.eu).
- To republish the MCT or portions, please request permission by sending an email at info@mctest.eu with subject: “Request for publication” with the title of your publication. Any agreed republication must carry the copyright notification (© The Music Cognitive Test, A. - It is prohibited to publish the MCT test, part of it and/or instructions and/or link leading to these in newspapers, magazine articles (including electronic articles) and websites without permission from the copyright holder.
- MCT users should make the test available free of charge to patients.
- The user is responsible for the appropriate use of the MCT. MCT authors do not indemnify the use of the MCT or in any way guarantee the results of clinical trials in which the MCT is used. The responsibility for the use, quality application, administration and interpretation of the MCT rests entirely with the user.
